We start the day relaxed with a delicious, hearty breakfast with local produce and fresh eggs from our organic chickens.

After breakfast, we drive in an air-conditioned minibus to medieval Bassoues, a good half hour from here.
We visit the Saint-Fris Basilica, originally from the 11th century, rebuilt by the Archbishop of Auch in 1520. We visit the surviving parts of the 15th and 16th century archbishop's castle and the 14th century fortress tower.

We will have lunch directly opposite the historic market hall (drinks not included in the tour price). After lunch, we will continue to a small, family-run winery in the Madiran wine region, where the region's typical grape varieties, Petit Maseng, Gros Maseng, and Pacherenc Vic Bil, are cultivated and used to produce delicious Madiran wines.
Responsible viticulture, now certified organic, and a focus on preserving biodiversity have a long tradition here.

We will tour the winery, which is run by the fourth generation of the family, and participate in a tasting of these special Madiran wines. These wines will be perfectly complemented by chocolate specialties from a local chocolatier.

Afterward, we will return to the château and enjoy free time there or, weather permitting, in the expansive garden.

We will conclude the day with a three-course meal, Madiran wines, and pleasant conversation in a small group.
